At Hotel Senacki, every room tells the story of Krakow. However, each does so a little differently - the rooms are named after people who over the years have made the greatest contributions to the city. You will find representatives of music, poetry, art, and many historical figures. Each room fully refers to one of them. Look around, listen, read to find out more about your travel companion.

I visit more distant cities from time to time and do so with the same zeal with which the residents of those cities tour Krakow. I live in Krakow, which means that when passing by Wawel, I am usually thinking about something else, not necessarily more important. That when passing St. Andrew's Church, I do not slow my pace or sigh, even though it is the most beautiful church in Krakow. That when walking through the Market Square, I do not stop in front of St. Mary's Church with my head confidently tilted back, waiting for the bugle call. That I am not on any splendid tourist bus, through whose polished windows everything surely looks different than through the perpetually dull tram ones. Living in Krakow has the advantage that I do not have to buy a souvenir shepherd's axe, but conversely, the disadvantage that I have to do my daily shopping in this city. Living in Krakow means that I have been breathing Krakow's air for years, unlike the brisk tourists who breathe it for just a few days. Besides, their Krakow, the tourist Krakow, the historic Krakow, the peculiar Krakow, the moving Krakow, is at most one-fifth of my Krakow, the real Krakow.
- Wisława Szymborska, poet, Nobel Prize laureate
